Since 1994, after the approval of the law 493/93, a quota of Gescal funds (Social Housing funds) has been used for renewing social housing blocks. Piedmont Region chose to follow the CIP Urban approach, paying particular attention to the social and environmental aspects of the area, applying an integrated approach more focused on residents’ needs, in particular to elderly, unemployed and people with chronic illness.
