DEROGATION TO THE ALLOCATION OF LICENCES FOR PUBLIC ACTIVITIES IN THE   BORGO DORA AREA

WHAT IT'S ABOUT
The City of Turin, with order no.2796 of 13 September 2000, has created a new area for the concession of authorisations for the provision of food and drinks, in compliance with law no.287 of 25 August 1991, for the area of Borgo Dora. The new area, called area 13, lies within area 7 for which the numerical allocations were exhausted. The City, acknowledging the fact that the area is the specific subject of the "Balôn in the centre" action of The Gate Project, aiming at the economic and commercial requalification of the Balôn area, including by means of setting up public operations, has decided to open an allocation, in derogation of what is laid down, to be assigned to area 13, with the aim of encouraging its requalification. On 29 January 2001 (with management decision no. 130) it then extended the borders as follows: corso Regina Margherita even numbers, via Ariosto even numbers, via S. Pietro in Vincoli even numbers, ideal extension from via S.Pietro in Vincoli to Lungo Dora Agrigento, Lungo Dora Agrigento odd numbers, Lungo Dora Savona even numbers, corso XI Febbraio odd numbers. With the same order it also increased the numeric allocation in order to deal with the large number of requests. The total of the new licences available is thus subdivided:
Typology A (restaurants): 20
Typology B (bar): 20
Typology D (provision of non-alcoholic drinks): 6
The licences still available as of 15 September 2002 are:
4 for typology A,
none for typology B
and 4 for typology C.
Applications can be presented up to the fifth day of each month until all allocations been taken up.
