The Baby Balon event is intended for a public of the very young (6-14) interested in swapping their toys, using a space that has always been associated with trade: piazza Borgo Dora, in the heart of the Balon. The initiative involves public and private institutions, voluntary recreational and cultural associations active in the infancy and solidarity sectors. The objective is the recovery of this urban area through a ludic and educational experience prepared in collaboration with schools and didactic circles. Baby Balon is also an excellent way for participating partners to communicate documentation and information to citizens.
The third edition of Baby Balon has taken place Sunday 16th oh December 2001 in Galleria Umberto I, in Porta Palazzo. The subject of the day was the gastronomic culture of foreigner countries: during the exchanges between the kids, extra-communitarians traders of Porta Palazzo have told them stories and recipes from their original countries, helped by the kids of the school Leone Fontana who have realized an artistic-gastronomic laboratory about world recipes. What does an African child eat during his religious celebrations? The initiative stays in the Business Incubator of The Gate Project, Action "Flinging the Balon up", aiming to promote a better image of the Balon area.

• The first edition was held on 28 May 2000. The second edition on 30 September 2001 and the third on 16 December 2001.
