RECONSTRUCTION OF PRINCIPESSA CLOTILDE BRIDGE

WHAT IT'S ABOUT
It consists in the reconstruction of the bridge, of the two related ramparts and of short lateral stretches in the bank wall.
The new bridge follows the axe of the previous one, the nineteenth-century Principessa Clotilde Bridge destroyed by the 2000 flood.
To gain the security conditions needed in case of flood, and after detour of the crossing on the near Mosca Bridge, it's foreseen a lifting of the bridge (the necessary lifting is 1,18 metres), by driving of a hydraulic jack system that gives a support at the bridge bearing structure.
The bridge has 3 ways of run: vehicular transit (two lanes 3 metres wide each),cycle track (linking the existing on the Lungo Dora Napoli with the planned one on Lungo Dora Agrigento, with a total width of 2 metres), and pedestrian run (flanked by the terrace overlooking the river).
The lighting it's supported by iodide equipment, of circular shape inserted in the upper trusses
m. 41,60 the span of the new bridge from jack to jack axe
m 16.70 the bridge entrances width
