October 14th 2004 - City of Zlin - Czech Republic

The Mayor of Turin and the Mayor Tomas Ulhela of the City of Zlin - on the occasion of the Conference Open TO Europe in Turin - signed a cooperation agreement between the two cities in the cultural field.

October 7th – 12th 2004 - Cologne-Torino Twinning Association

A delegation from the Cologne-Torino Twinning Association led by President Ingrid M. Heilanddal Vice President Bruno Cisamolo, was received by the President of the City Council Michele Coppola. The purpose of the meeting was the twinning of the two cities.

September 29th 2004 – City of Plock - Poland

A delegation from the city of Plock led by the Mayor Mr. Milewski was received by the Mayor Sergio Chiamparino and the Town Councillor Paolo Peveraro, in order to discuss on collabroation in the field of techonology.

September 11th 2004 – City of Briançon - France

A delegation from the City of Briançon, led by the Mayor Samuel Petermann, by the Deputy Mayor Alain Bayrou and the Councillor for Economic Development Pierre Heng, and comprising the Councillor for Finance, Monique Estachy, the Councillor for Social Policies, Michèle Skripnikoff, the Councillor for Culture, Catherine Valdenaire, and accompanied by several advisors, was received by the Director of Torino Internazionale, Paolo Verri, who presented greetings from the Mayor and from the City. The delegation visited Atrium, the Olympic sites and the major works that are transforming the City of Torino.

July 7th -12th 2004 – Rector of the University of Moscow

From July 7th to 12th 2004 the Rector of the University of Moscow, Suren Sarkisyan, visited Torino for a series of meetings, and was received by the Mayor Sergio Chiamparino. The meeting was dedicated to the area of Torino and its economic potential.

June 28th 2004 – The Bulgarian Ministry of Labour

The Bulgarian Vice Minister of Labour and Social Policies, Valery Apostolov, was received by the councillor for Labour and Training Policies, Tom Dealessandri.
The Minister was accompanied by the General Secretary of the Labour and Social Policies Ministry, by the Director of Human Resources at the Labour and Social Policies Ministry, by the coordinator of the project and by two representatives of the ITC ILO.
The councillor Dealessandri illustrated the labour policies enacted by the Comune di Torino.

June 25th 2004 - City of Bagneux (France)

A delegation from the City of Bagneux (France) led by the councillor for Culture, Catherine Potvin, was received by the Vice President of the City Council, Michele Coppola. It was and institutional meeting regarding the twinning of Bagneux and the VI District of the Comune di Torino. The delegation included Councillors and Aides from the City of Bagneux and French and Italian representatives of the twinning committee.

May 20th – 23rd 2004 - City of Zurich (Switzerland)

The Mayor of Zurich, Elmar Ledergerber, accompanied by a delegation of City councillors was received by the Councillor for Rates and Resources, Gianluigi Bonino. They discussed the major urban projects linked to the 2006 Olympic Winter Games.

May 7th 2004 – The Ambassador from Portugal

The Ambassador from Portugal, Vasco Valente and the General Consul of Portugal in Milan, Dinah Santos Silva Azevedo Neves, were received by the Mayor Sergio Chiamparino. The meeting was dedicated to the topic of cooperation between European cities.

May 6th 2004 – the Vice Minister for Culture from the Greek Republic

The Greek Vice Minister for Culture, Petros Tatoulis, and the Honorary Greek Consul to Milan, Theodore Passas, were received by the Mayor, Sergio Chiamparino.
The delegation was in Torino for the International Book Fair, since Greece was the guest country in 2004. During the meeting the Olympic Games in Athens 2004 and Torino 2006 were discussed.

April 12th 2004 - Vice Premier from the Slovak Republic

The Vice Premier from the Slovak Republic, Pal Csaky, was received by the Councillor for Public Housing and Suburban Planning, Roberto Tricarico. This was an institutional delegation to Italy to present the Slovak Republic, a member of the European Union since May 1st.

March 26th 2004 - Ambassador from the Czech Republic

The Ambassador from the Czech Republic, Libor Secka, was received by the Mayor Sergio Chiamparino. They discussed cooperation between cities, in view of the expansion of the European Union and they planned the mission of the Mayor Chiamparino in the Czech Republic, and in particular to Prague, where the Siemens plant is building the carriages for the Torino underground railway.

March 4th - 6th 2004 - City of Cologne (Germany)

The Deputy Mayor from the City of Cologne, Manfred Wolf, was received by the Mayor Sergio Chiamparino and by the Councillor for Commerce, Tourism and the Olympic Games, Elda Tessore. The topics discussed were the cooperation between Torino and Cologne in the fields of chocolate production and trade fairs.
The delegation, which included representatives from the Cologne Museum of Chocolate, was a guest in Torino on the occasion of the "CioccolaTÒ" exhibition.

March 1st 2004 – Danish Ambassador

The Danish Ambassador, Poul Skytte Christoffersen, was received by the Mayor Sergio Chiamparino to discuss opportunities for cooperation between Torino and the Danish cities.

January 27th 2004 – Austrian Consul

The Austrian Consul to Milano, Eva Maria Ziegler and the Austrian Honorary Consul to Torino, Riccardo Totta, were received by the Mayor Sergio Chiamparino. They discussed the possibility of exchanges during the Olympic Games, in particular with the City of Innsbruck, former Olympic venue and the site of the next Universiade.

January 13th 2004 - Delegation of Olympic Cities for the inauguration of Atrium

On the occasion of the inauguration of ATRIUM the City council invited to Torino the cities that hosted the past editions of the Olympic Winter Games. Present at the inauguration were representatives from Chamonix (1924), Cortina d'Ampezzo (1956), Innsbruck (1964, 1976, 1984 and 1998), Sarajevo (1984), Albertville (1992). The Mayor of Torino also organised a meeting with Albert Gibello (Mayor of Albertville), Michel Chalet (Mayor of Chamonix), Giacomo Giacobbi (Mayor of Cortina d’Ampezzo), Muhidin Hamandzic (Mayor of Sarajevo) and Michael Bielowski (Deputy Mayor of Innsbruck).
During the meeting the inauguration of this great sporting event and cooperation between Olympic cities was discussed.
