Turin welcomed the Premier of Queensland - Australia Peter Bettie, visiting the city in order to promote relationships within university and research fields between the two territories.

Anderson, the Mayor of Lake Placid, Jamie Rogers, and the Mayor of Torino Sergio Chiamparino signed a friendship protocol inspired by the Olympic values among 3 Winter Olympic host cities.
Colin Hansel, Ministry of the Canadian region of British Columbia, met Mayor Sergio Chiamparino. The meeting was about Winter Olympic Games, which will be hosted in Vancouver in 2010, and about future commercial investments and tourist exchanges between Piedmont and British Columbia.
