"La città è l'ultimo oggetto artistico. La città presenta al cittadino la possibilità di un panteismo secolare in cui in momenti di accresciuto contatto emotivo con il dispiegamento apparentemente infinito del potenziale cittadino si può discernere un più grande significato o uno scopo superiore. Gli anatomisti della condizione urbana possono essere uniti dalla loro consapevolezza del dettaglio che informa l'integrità del frammento epico o dell'universo globale. Si può raccontare una storia mediante i suoi dettagli e il parzialmente vero può essere elevato a uno status allegorico con l'intervento di una semplice sfumatura".

"The city is the ultimate art object. The city presents the citizen with the possibility of a secular pantheism, in which a greater meaning or higher purpose can be discerned, at points of heightened emotional contact with the seemingly infinite sprawl of the city's potential. Anatomists of the urban condition, can be united by their awareness of the detail informing the whole of the epic fragment or of the local universe. A story that can be told through its details and the 'particular truth', which can be elevated to an allegorical status by the intervention of a mere nuance."
