Project Interdisciplinary Training in Conservation of Cultural Heritage

Scope of intervention

Technical support aimed at the preservation and enhancement of an historical-cultural site (Tomb of Lazarus) located in the city of Bethany, next to Jerusalem.

Context

In the framework of the Italian-Palestinian cooperation program PMSP - Palestinian Municipalities Support Program, whose activities are coordinated in the Palestinian Territories by the Consulate General of Italy in Jerusalem and by the Palestinian ministries of Local Government and Tourism/Antiquities, with the involvement of some Local Authorities and Italian cultural institutions and some Palestinian Municipalities.

- Conservation and Restoration Center "La Venaria Reale" (Italian partner) = 4.7%

Outputs

- Enhancement of cultural heritage.
- Multidisciplinary training program for twelve Palestinian young people on conservation and restoration.
- Increase in cultural relations between Piedmonts’ and Palestinian entities.
