La T-FAST 42k, la Maratona di Torino, cambia data
T-Fast 42k, la maratona della città di Torino, cambia data: si correrà a Torino domenica 24 novembre 2019, e non più il 3 novembre come precedentemente comunicato.
La variazione di data è stata decisa dalla Città di Torino e si è resa necessaria per la concomitanza dell’importante evento podistico con altrettanti importanti appuntamenti in programma a Torino, quali Artissima e CioccolaTò.
Una contemporaneità che avrebbe rischiato di creare difficoltà ai cittadini e che quindi il Comune ha deciso di modificare. Con la collaborazione di Team Marathon SSD, società organizzatrice della maratona nel capoluogo piemontese, e in accordo con la Fidal, si è trovato in domenica 24 novembre l’unica data possibile per la città per ospitare la T-Fast 42k.
Il ringraziamento va quindi alla Federazione, che si è immediatamente attivata per garantire ai runner la maratona di Torino, e alla Maratona di Firenze che, in calendario nella medesima domenica (24 novembre), ha manifestato da subito la sua disponibilità avallando il cambio.
Città di Torino e Team Marathon danno quindi appuntamento a tutti i maratoneti per domenica 24 novembre per vivere anche quest’anno la magia della 42k nella città della Mole, con l’arrivo trionfale in Piazza Castello.
L’Assessore allo Sport della Città di Torino Roberto Finardi, ha così spiegato la decisione: «Ci tenevamo a comunicare per tempo il cambio della data della T-Fast 42k. Abbiamo dovuto fare di necessità virtù. Altre date non erano proponibili data la concomitanza con altri eventi impattanti in città. Si è tentato di tutto per salvare la data iniziale, ma purtroppo non è stato possibile. Abbiamo anche pensato di modificare il percorso, ma avremmo snaturato la gara stessa. Ringrazio gli organizzatori, che di questa situazione sono sicuramente le vittime, la Fidal, che ha compreso la situazione si si è attivata in modo molto solerte, e a Firenze Marathon, già in calendario il 24 novembre, dimostrando di aver compreso la ragione per la quale è stata spostata la T-Fast 42k».
Luca Vergnano, Amministratore Delegato di Team Marathon SSD, ha così commentato: «Per garantire la buona riuscita dell’evento, il mantenimento dell’ordine pubblico e la corretta chiusura stradale, a tutela di tutti i partecipanti, concordiamo con la decisione dell’Assessorato allo Sport della Città di Torino di spostare la manifestazione ad altra data. Faremo di tutto per soddisfare le aspettative dei nostri runner a cui chiediamo di rinnovarci la fiducia; gestiremo le richieste di coloro che già da tempo erano iscritti alla maratona del 3 novembre e che nostro malgrado si troveranno costretti a subire lo spostamento.
Un ringraziamento particolare va alla Federazione Italiana di Atletica Leggera e alla Firenze Marathon, che accettando la concomitanza dei due eventi hanno dimostrato con un gesto di solidarietà quanto lo sport e l’interesse degli atleti prevalga su tutto.
La nostra città oltre a essere “Fast” nasce per ospitare eventi anche in contemporanea. Pur comprendendo le necessità delle Istituzioni Locali e la tardiva comunicazione pervenuta, rimaniamo comunque convinti che eventi di cultura e sport possano coesistere e dare maggior risalto al nostro territorio.
Ciò premesso, invitiamo i runner a cogliere l’occasione di vivere un’esperienza unica su un percorso velocissimo capace di garantire alla maggior parte dei partecipanti il proprio personal best, perché come recita l’hashtag #torinoisfaster.
Il 24 novembre regalatevi la possibilità di tagliare il traguardo in uno degli scenari più belli d’Italia, piazza Castello, eccellenza della regalità torinese. Vi aspettiamo».
LA T-FAST 30K SI CORRERÀ il 6 OTTOBRE CON LA MEZZA
La 30K di Torino si è sempre corsa lo stesso giorno della 42k. Il posticipo della data della maratona ha però convinto gli organizzatori di Team Marathon ad anticipare la T-Fast 30k al 6 ottobre 2019, giorno in cui si disputerà la T-Fast 21k, la mezza maratona della città di Torino.
Questo manterrà intatto il fascino e… l’utilità della 30k, per molti podisti ottimo allenamento alle maratone autunnali.

T-Fast 42k, la maratona della Città di Torino, moves the date: the race will be held in Turin on Sunday 24th of November 2019, and not on the 3rd of November, as previously reported.
The date change was decided by the City of Turin and was necessary due to the concomitance of the Marathon with other, not less important, events scheduled in Turin.
The coexistence of several events could have created difficulties to the citizens, a reason that made necessary this date change. The Team Marathon SSD, the organizer of the Piedmont capital marathon, and in agreement with Fidal (Italian Federation of Athlethics), it has been found that Sunday 24th of November is the only possible date to host the T-Fast 42k.
We thank the Fidal, which immediately helped to solve this problem in order to guarantee the Turin Marathon, as well as the Firenze Marathon, scheduled for the same Sunday (November 24th), which immediately supported the date change.
City of Turin and Team Marathon, then, give an appointment to all the runners for Sunday 24th of November to live also this year the magic of the 42k in the city of Mole, and the triumphant arrival in Piazza Castello.
Roberto Finardi, the Councilor of the Sport of Turin City, at the press conference held today, Friday 19 July 2019, at 11:30 am, at the headquarters of the Department of Sport (in Corso Ferrucci 122 – Turin), explained with these words the decision:
«We wanted to inform as soon as possible the date change of the T-Fast 42k. Other dates were not feasible given the simultaneity with other impacting events in the city. We did our best to keep the initial date but, unfortunately, it ahs not been possible.
I thank the organizers, who are certainly those who had the most of the problems in this situation, the Italian Federation of Athletics, for having understood the situation and the organizers of Firenze Marathon, already scheduled for 24 th of November too, who allowed us to plan the T-Fast 42k in the same date, demonstrating that they have understood our reasons to move the date».
Luca Vergnano, CEO of Team Marathon SSD, commented:
«To ensure the success of the event, the maintenance of public order and the correct road closure, to protect all participants, we agree with the decision of the City of Turin Department of Sport to move the event to another date. We will do everything to meet the expectations of our runners to whom we ask to renew their trust in us; we will handle the requests of those who have already been registered for the November 3rd marathon and who, unfortunately, have been asked to change their plans.
Special thanks go to the Italian Federation of Atlethics and the Florence Marathon, which, by accepting the overlapping of the two events, demonstrated that sport and athletes' interest prevails over everything.
Our city, beside being "Fast", often hosts several events, even simultaneously. Despite we understand the needs of local institutions and the late communication received, we are nonetheless convinced that cultural and sport events can coexist and shed new light on our territory.
Therefore, we invite the runners to take the opportunity to experience a fast track, ideally suitable to reach their personal best, as the hashtag advertises, #torinoisfaster.

THE T-FAST 30K RUN WILL BE HELD ON THE OCTOBER TOGETHER WITH THE HALF MARATHON
The T-Fast 30K, in Turin, has been always ran together with the Marathon. However, due to the date change of the Marathon, the Team Marathon organizers have decided to move forward the T-Fast 30K to October 6th 2019, this year together with the T-Fast 21k, the half marathon of the city of Turin.
This will keep the charm and the usefulness of the 30k, representing a perfect training for all autumn marathons.
