Marseille and Torino are two cities located in southern Europe, linked by a common history, notably the great wave of immigration at the end of the 19th century from Italy to France.
On February 26, 2020, the City of Marseille and the City of Torino signed a cooperation agreement covering the fields of culture, economic development and innovation, to exchange their experience and cooperate for the well-being of their population and their territory.
To celebrate the first anniversary of this agreement, the City of Marseille is delighted to offer an exhibition of photographs covering all aspects of the city: its population, nature linked to the Mediterranean, cultural sites and monuments such as the Mucem, historical heritage, numerous and varied sports activities.
Several major international events will take place in Marseille: the World Conservation Congress 2021, the Rugby World Cup 2023, the nautical events of the Olympic Games 2024.
Marseille, rich in 26 centuries of history, is focused on its future as a Euro-Mediterranean metropolis open to the world, united and inclusive.
