Description: CO-CITY proposes an experimentation of the Regulation for the cooperation among citizens and the Public Administration for the care, joint management and regeneration of urban commons approved by the City Council in January 2016.
The project plans the transformation of buildings and public spaces in state of abandonment or under-use by means of “pacts of collaboration” among the Public Administration and citizens, as tools of promotion of active citizenship to fight poverty and decay in fragile urban areas.
The project aims at triggering co-design initiatives for the joint regeneration of spaces, co-production of services, ideas for community enterprises and new urban welfare, joining existing social innovation projects and benefitting from associations and civic actors already engaged in several areas of the city.
