Description: the project begun in the early 2002 and lasted three years, aimed at contributing to the amelioration of the immigrants' image in Italy, the valorisation of their presence, the support to their social and labour integration. The main objective of the project was to move against the diffusion of racist behaviours through the direct involvement of active subjects: communication, services and social operators, both Italian and immigrant. The partnership, leaded by the IOM (International Organisation for Migrations), included the following subjects: the Immigration Archive of Roma, the Caritas of Roma, the Intercultural Centre of the City of Torino, the Province of Torino and Mantova; the Associations of immigrants "Abusuan", "Baobab", "!Bota Shqiptare", "Donne Capoverdiane" in Italy, "Filipino Women's Council" and "No.Di.". The Intercultural Centre cooperated to the realisation of training sessions for immigrant journalists and to the creation of the Information Agency for foreign communities. The Centre was the referent, for the City of Torino, in constituting a national Archive of immigrant communities (Moroccan and Rumanian).
