The mission of the World Union of Olympic Cities is to facilitate and qualify an on-going dialogue between former and future Olympic Host Cities to ensure the continued positive impact of the Games and to share the outcome of this dialogue with cities around the world.
Through an active collaboration with the International Olympic Committee (IOC), the Union contributes in inventorying legacy activation initiatives and helping cities to fully take advantage of their uniqueness as an Olympic City. By providing inspiring ideas and practical tools, it supports the Olympic Host Cities in activating their Olympic legacy in a sustainable and forward-looking perspective.
