The Mayor of the City of Torino Piero Fassino went on a mission to Barcelona for promoting the City at an event organised in cooperation with Turismo Torino e Provincia and the Consulate General of Italy in Barcelona.
The occasion was once again the international promotion of the City of Torino, of its territory and of the rich programme of events EXPO-EXTO a few days before the inauguration of the Universal Exposition in Milan. On April 17th in front of 200 entrepreneurs and journalists gathered in the evening at the Auditorium Pau Gil, the Mayor, introduced by the Italian Consul stefano Nicoletti, presented, in the presence of Xavier Trias, Mayor of Barcelona, and the Secretary of Enterprise at the Government of the Generalitat, Pere Torres, the calendar of the upcoming events in Torino to attract the attention of Spanish tourists. At the end of the event, jazz concert of the Trio Fabio Giachino, in cooperation with Torino Jazz Festival and then a cocktail with typical Piedmontese products. April 18th was instead dedicated to institutional meetings in the domain of culture.
