The Deputy Mayor in charge of Equal Opportunities and Decentralization of the City of Torino Maria Cristina Spinosa went on a mission to Volgograd, following up operationally the cooperation agreement between the two territories signed in 2011 on the occasion of the celebrations for the 150th anniversary of the Unification of Italy. The main objective of the visit was to attend the Women's Forum “Dialogue without borders” organized by the Volgograd Women’s Council (which gathers all the female representatives of the local civil society, professionals and institutions) and give a speech at the session named Gender policies: issues, plans, solutions.

The Deputy Mayor previously met officially, on March 14th for a press conference, the authorities of the City of Volgograd: the Mayor Sergey Sokolov, the Vice Mayor Irina B. Elinetskaya and the President of the City Council Irina A. Pareva.
