From May 17th to 19th a delegation led by the Deputy Mayor in charge of Promotion, Cooperation and International Affairs of the City of Torino Michele Dell’Utri went in Shenzhen for a study tour. Paolo Verri, member of the organizing committee for Torino World Design Capital 2008 as well as coordinator of the projects for the 150th Anniversary of Italy’s Unity, and Piermichele Bosio, member of Torino Wireless, also took part in the mission.

During the mission the delegation was welcomed by the Mayor of Shenzhen Xu Zongheng and met the Deputy Mayor in charge of International Affairs Zhuo Qinrui, the Director of Economic and Industrial Activities and some representatives of the Cultural Direction.

Furthermore the delegation wento to the International Cultural Industry Fair of Shenzhen and carried out some visits focused on urban projects, cultural and touristic resources.

On May 19th the City of Torino presented Torino World Design Capital 2008 during the Creative Industry Forum at the City of Design Centre.
