On 27 November 1998 the Mayor of Torino Valentino Castellani and the Mayor of Ekaterinburg Arkady Mikhailovich Cernetzkij signed a partnership agreement aiming to support and develop cooperation between the respective local authorities, economic subjects and citizens.
