Torino and Chambéry are bound by a historical twinning signed in 1957 to promote the exchanges between the two cities and to strengthen the value of European fraternity.

In 2015 the twinning was given new life with the signature of a Letter of Intent to further support the several activities, exchanges and projects regularly carried out with a specific focus on economic exchanges, tourism, culture, sport, innovation/smart city as well as school and university exchanges.
