At the City Hall, during a ceremony in which took part all the civilian and military authorities of Torino, the Mayor of the Mongolian City of Kharkhorin Enkhbat Lamzav and the Mayor of the City of Torino Chiara Appendino signed aCooperation Agreement between the two Cities.
In the agreement a large importance is given to the field of archeology and cultural heritage, since Kharkhorin host an important UNESCO site. Besides the Ambassador of Mongolia in Italy Tserendorj Jambaldorj, also the directors of the Museum of Kharkhorin and of the area of the Erdene Zuu temple took part in the ceremony. On that occasion, at MAO, the photo exhibition A tresure in the steppe. The Monastry of Erdene Zuu in Mongolia - open until December 11th - was inaugurated.
The mediation of the Consolata Missions, active in Mongolia for the exchanges and the dialogue between the two territories since many years, was of particular importance to start the cooperation.
