The Mayor of the City of Torino Piero Fassino, inaugurated the first "Forum of the cities of the new silk road railway", promoted by the Mir initiative. The goal of the meeting, that ended with the draft of a charter of intents, is the development of European high speed corridors towards east, in order to reach the Chinese capital, and towards south-east in the Middle-East.
