The High Level Summit on the European Social Charter, organised by the Italian Government, the City of Torino and in cooperation with the Council of Europe was held at the Teatro Regio. Different European Ministers took part in the many panels and sessions of the Conference, inaugurated and ended by the Minister of Labour and Welfare of the Italian Republic Giuliano Poletti and that scheduled also the President of the Chamber of Deputies of the Italian Parliament Laura Boldrini. 
The event occurred during a week that scheduled several other meetings: the City of Torino hosted also the European Committee on Social Rights, the Governmental Committee on the European Social Charter, the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, the Conference of INGOs of the Council of Europe
