romoting stability and development in Africa: fostering cooperation between public and private sector, organised by the International Affairs Institute and the Foundation for European Progressive Studies in cooperation with the Piedmontese Centre of African Studies, with the patronage of the City of Torino and the support of Eni and Compagnia San Paolo. The debate was opened by the MAyor of the City of Torino Piero Fassino, the President of the IAI Feroci and D'Alema, President of the FEPS. Several important national and international speakers took part in the debate.

November 25th 2014 Conference at the Palagiustizia: protecting women who suffered violenceThe Mayor of the City of Torino Piero Fassino and the Deputy Mayor in charge of Urban Regeneration, Integration and European Funds of the City of Torino Ilda Curti took part in the conference on protecting the victims of gender violence whose main theme was "Women who suffered violence and abuses, how can they be protected? How can they be compensated?" and which was organised at the Palagiustizia by the International Observatory for Victims of Violence (I.O.V.V.), created in Torino following the
Final Resolution of the International Women's Forum adopted in Volgograd, back in March 2012.
November 21st-22nd 2014 Final workshop of the project Counternarrative for CounterterrorismIt was concluded in Torino the project C4C-Counternarrative for Counterterrorism, strongly supported by the Internal Affairs DG of the EU and carried out during the past two years by AVITER, with the support, among the others, of the City of Torino. The project allowed the creation of an online database of testimonies by victims of acts of terrorism, which is available here
http://www.c4c-project.org. Such documents were then used as starting point for an educational path that involved some classes of the Albe Steiner Institute of Torino.
November 17th-18th 2014 1st Turin Islamic Economic ForumThe City of Torino, the Chamber of Commerceand the University, with the technical assistance of ASSAIF organised the international conference "Turin Islamic Economic Forum" which brought into city some of the most relevant financial and economical actors from Arab-Muslim Countries. The City was represented by its Director General Gianmarco Montinari.

October 28th 2014 Italy-Japan Business Group Conference and Ambassador of JapanAfter a short introduction by the co-presidents Giorgio Zappa and Masami Iijima and by the Mayor of Torino Piero Fassino, the XXVI edition of the General Assembly of the Italy-Japan Business Group took place at Palazzo Madama. It was an occasion to analyse the strategies for a large scale economic cooperation between Italy and Japan, supporting a permanent dialogue between the two business communities.
October 22nd-25th Geral Assembly of the Délice networkThe Mayor of the City of Torino Piero Fassino welcomed the annual general assembly, that gathered in Torino, of the food and wine network Délice, founded in 2001 by the City of Lyon and counting today 21 member cities from 4 continents. The Assembly, whose main theme was Gastronomy: what agriculture is needed for local products, had the goal to decide the main orientations of the network for the year to come.
October 17th-18th 2014 Summit on the European Social CharterThe High Level Summit on the European Social Charter, organised by the Italian Government, the City of Torino and in cooperation with the Council of Europe was held at the Teatro Regio. Different European Ministers took part in the many panels and sessions of the Conference, inaugurated and ended by the Minister of Labour and Welfare of the Italian Republic Giuliano Poletti and that scheduled also the President of the Chamber of Deputies of the Italian Parliament Laura Boldrini.
October 14th-15th 2014 Global High Level Dialogue on Localizing the Post 2015 AgendaThe City of Torino hosted the works of the Committee for the Global High Level Dialogue on Localizing the Post 2015 Agenda. The representatives of 13 countries discussed the respective proposals on the most effective ways of implementing the future Global Agenda for Sustainable Development in order to tackle the planetary crisis.
The conclusions of the event will contribute to define the Sustainable Development Goals 2015-2030.

"Piemonte meets the Republic of Moldova" to present the investment opportunities in the country - that recently signed an Association Agreement with the European Union - an to create new relations between the respective economic realities.
September 25th 2014 CLimate neutral Urban districts in Europe - final conference of the projectAt Torino Incontra in the Giolitti Hall, from 8.30 to 18.00 of September 25th, public conference closing the project CLimate neutral Urban districts in Europe, of which Torino is partner, financed by the Operational Programme of European Territorial Cooperation INTERREG IVC. The consortium of local authorities and universities involved in the project, international experts, politicians, stakeholders debated on the results of three years of work on the subject of the development of policies for the realisation of zero impact districts.
