The City of Torino participated in Genoa in the kick off meeting of the
TIPS4PED project, which aims to test the effectiveness and feasibility of a platform based on the creation of a digital model (Digital Twin) to support municipalities in the implementation of positive energy districts (PEDs).
The Positive Energy District is a self-sufficient urban environment in terms of energy and C02 emissions. TIPS4PED solutions will be tested in Torino, chosen as a lighthouse (Light House), while replicability studies will be conducted in three follower cities (Cork, Kozani and Budapest). The phase of experimentation and replicability will lead to the creation of 4 digital twin cities and decarbonisation maps.
