The National Museum of the Italian Risorgimento hosted the first meeting of the Italian-French Border Cooperation Committee, a body established by the Quirinal Treaty. The meeting, co-chaired by the Italian Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Antonio Tajani, and by the French Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Catherine Colonna, was hosted by the Mayor of the City of Torino, Stefano Lo Russo, and by the Governor of the Piedmont Region, Alberto Cirio. The talks focused on a number of key issues, from mobility to water resource and risk management, from rescue activities and civil protection to the strengthening and establishment of European territorial cooperation groups. The meeting was also an opportunity for a review of medium- and long-term projects on the enhancement of natural heritage and environmental protection as well as on the development of sustainable tourism, language and training issues, youth exchanges and cooperation in the field of health care.
