October 27th-30th 2020 ROCK Open Knowledge WeekThe ROCK Open Knowledge Week, a virtual conference with over 20 sessions exploring how cultural heritage can be the driver behind urban sustainability, marked the closure of the
ROCK project. The event was also attended by the City of Torino.
October 22nd 2020 TInnGo project multistakeholder forumThe City of Torino attended the online forum organized by the H2020 TInnGO project entitled
“Expanding the boundaries of gender smart mobility”. The event focused on four main issues - the gender smart mobility road map, employment, education, and intersectionality - which are critical to creating a paradigm shift towards greater equality and diversity in the transport sector.
October 19th-23rd 2020 European Week of SecurityIn the framework of the
PACTESUR project, the City of Torino hosted the European Week of Security. The event agenda included topics such as terrorist threats, crisis management and communication, design and management of urban security, the use of digital tools and the impact of Covid-19 on the management of public spaces.
October 15th-16th 2020 GOEASY plenary meetingThe City of Torino attended the partner meeting of the
GOEASY project aiming at discussing project progress and stakeholder engagement.
October 15th 2020 Open letter to the European InstitutionsThe Mayor of the City of Torino Chiara Appendino, together with other 57 mayors from all over Europe, signed a letter addressed to the President of the European Council, Charles Michel, and to the President of the Council of the EU, Angela Merkel, claiming a revision of the EU 2030 energy and climate targets. The initiative was coordinated through the
EUROCITIES network.
October 15th 2020 IAEC Executive CommitteeThe City of Torino took part in the Executive Committee of
IAEC for insights on the forthcoming International Day of the Educating Cities, on the 2022 International Congress venue and on the Educating Cities Award 2020.
October 15th 2020 Convening of the CDIA networkThe International Affairs of the City of Torino attended the first online meeting of the City Directors of International Affairs (CDIA) Network gathering European and North American city government staff from 26 cities in 15 countries overall. The initiative, launched by the German Marshall Fund, aims to help cities increase their efforts at transnational cooperation.

EUROCITIES in the frame of the “Roma Inclusion” working group focusing on the strategic approaches carried out by the City of Berlin.
