The Mayor of the City of Torino Piero Fassino inaugurated the seat of the the Forum of the Cities of the New Railway Silk Road which has its logistic base of operations for Western Europe in Torino. Last november the Charter of Torino was signed by the cities supporting the New Railway Silk Road: a commitment among mayors, political representatives, entrepreneurs to develop a project for realising a large high speed railway link connecting Europe's main cities, Russia, Turkey and Middle East to Beijing.
