Within the framework of EXPO-EXTO and during the year of Torino as European Capital of Sport, the Deputy Mayor in charge of Development, Innovation, Environment, Green and Public Hygiene of the City of Torino Enzo Lavolta took part in the press conference that welcomed in Torino the preview of Sun Trip 2015, an itinerary free race for solar bikes of 7000 km across ten countries, organised in cooperation with Chambéry. At the press conference for the French city, the Deputy Mayor in charge of Environment Alois Chassot and the Deputy Mayor in charge of International Affairs Nathalie Colin-Cocchi.
Among the moments that, thanks to the special presence of events in cooperation with Germany and the German capital, contaminate the City of Torino's cultural calendar, the twinning between the music festival of Torino and Berlin's Piano City festival stands out. Remarkable also the calendar of the Festival delle Colline Torinesi which, in its XX edition, schedules four German national premieres. On that occasion, on May 26th an Agreement was signed between the two Cities.

The Large Urban Projects Department represented the City of Torino in Oslo on the occasion of the Metropolitan Areas Working Group of the Economic Development Forum of EUROCITIES. The meeting aimed at supporting the exchange between European metropolitan realities and define the process to submit two project proposals, developed in the last months by the group,to European programmes.
A group of students of the Ecole de la Deuxième Chance de Savoie, an institute that welcomes people from 18 to 25 years old who left their studies and live in disadvantaged situations, visited the Piazza dei Mestieri for a confrontation on the respective activities and to evaluate the possibilities for future cooperation on similar projects.

On that occasion, on May 19th, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the two Cities.
The Mayor of the City of Torino Piero Fassino met the former Minister of Allende's Government Sergio Bitar, together with the Ambassador of Chile in Italy Fernando Ayala, in Torino to present at the International Book Fair the diary of his imprisonment under Pinochet's regime. The Mayor also took part in the presentation.
