The first year of activity of the European project TRIBUTE, financed through European funds of the Seventh Framework Programme 2007-2013 (Call: FP7-2013-NMP-ENV-EeB), and in which Torino takes part as member of a large international consortium.
The project, that started on October 1st 2013 and will end on September 30th 2017, aims at developing an "intelligent system for energy monitoring and checking" able to minimise the gap between real and simulated energy performances, by improving the predictive capacity of the actual buildings' energy efficiency monitoring and checking systems. A further objective is to extend the use of Building Energy Performance Simulation tools to the operational life of buildings (besides the design stage).
During the first year the City was involved mainly in the definition of the requirements and specifications for identifying the most suitable building for the experimentation, in the analysis of the latter one as far as it concerns its plants and its building structure, in the definition of profiles for using the chosen building and in its BEPS modelling through selected key parameters. Then, retrofit activities and activities preliminary to the in situ tests were started.
The test phase is to be held in the first semester of 2015 on the Italo Calvino Library in Lungo Dora Agrigento 95.
