The Mayor of the City of Torino Piero Fassino and the Amb. Franco Giordano, Diplomatic Advisor of the City of Torino went on a mission to Madrid for a territorial promotion event, organised in cooperation with Turismo Torino e Provincia and ENIT at the Italian Cultural Institute of Madrid, and to take part in the conference Nuevo Economia Forum.
On June 2nd the delegation took part, at the Italian Embassy in Madrid, to the celebrations of the National Republic Day, after an introduction speech of Mayor Fassino. The following day, after having attended the Smart City Foro de la Nueva Ciudad, presenting the Torino "Smart City" experience, the Mayor then took part in several institutional meetings with the Mayor of Madrid Ana Botella, the Mayor of Santander, President of the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces - FEMP - and President of the Spanish Network of Smart Cities - RECI - Iñigo de la Sernaand finally with the Head of the Reina Sofia Museum. In the evening then took place the promotional event at the Italian Cultural Institute of Madrid, forerun by a tasting of typical products from Torino.
