The Mayor of the City of Torino Piero Fassino led a territorial mission to Morocco, first in Rabat and then in Fès, on the occasion of the Second International Meeting of Fès' Friend and Twin Cities.
Once in Rabat, on Wednesday the 11th of June, the Mayor in the morning met the Governor of the Rabat-Salé-Zemmour-Zaer Region, Abdelouafi Laftit, the Moroccan Minister of Culture Mohammed Amine Sbihi and the Mayor of Rabat Fathallah Oulalou, then he attended a working lunch with the Ambassador of Italy in Morocco Roberto Natali. In the afternoon the Mayor first visited the urban renweal project of the Bouregrege valley, then met the Minister for Moroccans leaving abroad and Immigration Anis Birou and in the end moved to Fès in the evening.
Once in Fès, on June 12th, the Mayor took part in the Second International Meeting of Fès' Friend and Twin Cities and then met the Vice Mayor of Fès Allal Amraoui. The meeting was the chance to renew the cooperation agreement that bonds the two Cities since 2010. After that, the Mayor met the Governonr of the Fès-Boulemane Region, Mohamed Dardouri and finally the Regional Director of the Centre for Investments, Hamid Boukir.
On June 13th the delegation took part in the second working day of the Second International Meeting of Fès' Friend and Twin Cities and, in the evening, in the inauguration of the twentieth edition of the Annual World Sacred Music Festival, before coming back to Torino the day after.
