Europe for Citizens that aims at promoting and boosting the participation of the citizens in the process of urban planning. Besides the City, also the Politecnico of Torino and SITI - Superior Institute on Territorial Systems for Innovation, took part in the workshop.

Process towards the III World Forum on Local Economic Development. Advancing the dialogue on LED, organised in Brussels by the UNDP and the global network Cities of Bio. The purposes of the meeting were to implement the dialogue on local economic development and to discuss the guidelines for the next Forum on Local Economic Development to be held in Torino from October 13th to 16th 2015.
December 1st-2nd 2014 International conference about AfricaThe City Hall hosted for two days the conference
romoting stability and development in Africa: fostering cooperation between public and private sector, organised by the International Affairs Institute and the Foundation for European Progressive Studies in cooperation with the Piedmontese Centre of African Studies, with the patronage of the City of Torino and the support of Eni and Compagnia San Paolo. The debate was opened by the MAyor of the City of Torino Piero Fassino, the President of the IAI Feroci and D'Alema, President of the FEPS. Several important national and international speakers took part in the debate.

the programme of events Torino European Capital of Sport 2015 was presented during a crowded press conference at the Sandretto Re Rebaudengo Foundation.
November 26th-28th Art and nature in the city: the experience of LyonA delegation of representatives of the network of the civic centres of Torino went to Lyon, that shares with Torino a cooperation agreement signed in 2007, to study how art and nature could be exploited for development and social cohesion in urban centres and working-class districts. The study visit is part of an exchange programme between the citizens of the two cities started in 2012 and aiming at sharing good practices in the field of urban transformations.
November 25th 2014 Conference at the Palagiustizia: protecting women who suffered violenceThe Mayor of the City of Torino Piero Fassino and the Deputy Mayor in charge of Urban Regeneration, Integration and European Funds of the City of Torino Ilda Curti took part in the conference on protecting the victims of gender violence whose main theme was "Women who suffered violence and abuses, how can they be protected? How can they be compensated?" and which was organised at the Palagiustizia by the International Observatory for Victims of Violence (I.O.V.V.), created in Torino following the
Final Resolution of the International Women's Forum adopted in Volgograd, back in March 2012.
November 21st-22nd 2014 Final workshop of the project Counternarrative for CounterterrorismIt was concluded in Torino the project C4C-Counternarrative for Counterterrorism, strongly supported by the Internal Affairs DG of the EU and carried out during the past two years by AVITER, with the support, among the others, of the City of Torino. The project allowed the creation of an online database of testimonies by victims of acts of terrorism, which is available here
http://www.c4c-project.org. Such documents were then used as starting point for an educational path that involved some classes of the Albe Steiner Institute of Torino.
November 20th-21st 2014 Delegation of TunisiaThe City of Torino welcomed a delegation of social operators and local authorities from Tunisia for the first of the exchanges scheduled in the project SALEMM of the Milan Provincial Fund for International Cooperation. The projects aims at reducing the exposure of young people/minors irregularly migrating through the reinforcement of social, cultural and economical inclusion systems in their countries of origin.
November 19th 2014 Torino European Capital of Sport 2015 in BrusselsThe Deputy Mayor in charge of Civic Services, Information Systems, Sport and Free Time of the City of Torino Stefano Gallo took part in the ACES Europe Award Gala organised in Brussels at the European Parliament. On that occasion the City of Torino, European Capital of Sport 2015, for the handing over from the City of Cardiff, European Capital of Sport 2014, and to receive the flag confirming the title.
November 17th-18th 2014 1st Turin Islamic Economic ForumThe City of Torino, the Chamber of Commerceand the University, with the technical assistance of ASSAIF organised the international conference "Turin Islamic Economic Forum" which brought into city some of the most relevant financial and economical actors from Arab-Muslim Countries. The City was represented by its Director General Gianmarco Montinari.
