The Mayor of the City of Nantes Patrick Rambert and the Mayor of the City of Torino Piero Fassino signed a cultural cooperation agreement and, together with the Deputy Mayor in charge of Culture of the City of Torino Maurizio Braccialarghe and the Deputy Mayor in charge of Development, Innovation, Environment, Green and Public Hygiene of the City of Torino Enzo Lavolta, presented at Palazzo Chiablese the Expédition Végétale from Nantes.
Landed onboard the Aérofloral II aircraft in Piazza Castello, after a stop in Brussels and before moving on to Hamburg and Nantes again, the educational-scientific mission Expédition Végétale stayed a few days in Torino to collect and study different plants, in order to reveal to the citizens the extraordinary legacy of biodiversity and how much plants can give to mankind in terms of energetic production.
Scheduling the event in the framework of Torino incontra la Francia, Torino accepted the invitation, made by the City of Nantes, Green European Capital 2013, and welcomed and hosted the commander and the crew of the Expédition Végétale, providing also, thanks to the Green Management Department, all the green material needed for their researches.
