The President of the Municipal Council of the City of Torino Giovanni Maria Ferraris went on a mission to Volgograd on the occasion of the 70th Anniversary of the Soviet Army's Victory over the Nazi Forces in the Battle of Stalingrad.

Along the mission the President of the Municipal Council, who met the Mayor of Volgograd Valerii D. Vasilkov at the moment of the commemoration, also gave a speech, during a working session on the subject “the role of the diplomacy of peoples, of twinnings, of partnerships, of decentralized cooperation in the sustainable development of 21st century cities”.
