The Mayor of the City of Torino Piero Fassino led a territorial mission, which involved the City of Torino, Teatro Regio and Turismo Torino, to Vienna, on the occasion of the representation at the Opera Theatre of Vienna of Giuseppe Verdi's Messa da Requiem, led by Maestro Gianandrea Noseda.

Once again the mission represented an occasion for promoting our territory. In fact the success of the Messa da Requiem at the Opera Theatre of Vienne in the evening of May 29th, followed the presentation of the city that took place at the Italian Embassy in Austria on May 28th. The event was organized in cooperation with the Teatro Regio and Turismo Torino, the press, cultural and economic institutions were present. Furthermore, during the mission the Mayor met the President of the Federal State of Austria Heinz Fischer, the former Austrian Chancellor Franz Vranitzky, the former Austrian Chancellor Wolfgang Schüssel, the Mayor of the City of Vienna, Michael Häupl and the Director Exhibition Management & Loans of the Galerie Belvedere Peter Aufreiter.
