  • June 20th 2008 - Hamamatsu - Japan

    The Deputy Mayor in charge of House and Green Policies of the City of Torino Roberto Tricarico met a delegation coming from the Japanese city of Hamamatsu and led by the Vice Mayor Yasuhiro Yamazaki visiting Torino to present International Mosaiculture 2009.

  • June 19th-25th 2008 - Delegation from Cordoba - Argentina

    The International Affairs Department of the City of Torino organised for a delegation of student engineers from the argentinian city of Cordoba a study tour of the automotive in Torino.

  • June 19th 2008 - City of Ekaterinburg - Russian Federation

    The Mayor of the City of Torino Sergio Chiamparino met a delegation coming from Ekaterinburg and led by the Mayor Arkady Chernetsky to discuss of tourist-commercial relations between the two cities and of an eventual activation of tighter relations among the respective universities.

  • June 12th 2008 - City of Cannes - France

    The Deputy Mayor of the City of Torino in charge of Culture and of the 150th Anniversary of the Unity of Italy Fiorenzo Alfieri met a delegation coming from Cannes and led by the Deputy Mayor in charge of Culture Eric Harson.

  • May 28th 2008 - City of Cordoba - Argentina

    The Mayor of the City of Torino Sergio Chiamparino met the Mayor of Cordoba Daniel Oscar Giacomino.

  • May 13th 2008 - Ambassador of Tunisia

    The Mayor of Torino Sergio Chiamparino met the Ambassador of Tunisia Montasser Ouaili.

  • May 10th 2008 - An European fiftieth anniversary for Torino

    2008 represents for Torino the fiftieth anniversary of the twinning with Cologne (Germany), Esch-sur-Alzette (Luxembourg), Liege (Belgium), Lille (France) and Rotterdam (Netherlands). Such multiple twinng was signed in 1958 to promote the European integration on the initiative of six cities from the six countries who founded the European Economic Community, created the year before with the Treaty of Rome. Nowadays the cooperation is focused on young people exchanges and on culture but also concerns urban and economic policies. On the occasion of the fiftieth anniversary the six cities are organising a series of initiatives. The official ceremony in the presence of all the Mayors in Torino on May 10th has been the occasion to reinforce the relationships thanks to the signing of a Charter for Sustainability.

  • May 8th 2008 - University of Marseille - France

    A delegation of students of the University of the Mediterranean of Marseille met several officers of different Departments of the City in order to deepen issues related to the economy and the urban transformation of Torino.
