2007 October

• October 18th-20th 2007 - Mission of the City in Rumania

  A delegation led by the Mayor of Torino Sergio Chiamparino and by the Prefect Goffredo Sottile went to Rumania from the 18th to the 20th of October attending a series of meeting at governmental and local level.
  On the 18th and 19th of October the delegation went through some meetings concerning the problems coming from migratory flows. The delegation went then to Bacau for the signature of a cooperation agreement between the two Cities and the implementation of exchange projects.

• October 18th 2007 - Latin American officers

  A delegation of Latin American diplomatic officers, attending a seminar in Torino at the ITC-ILO, met the Deputy Mayor in charge of Promotion, Cooperation and International Affairs of the City of Torino Michele Dell'Utri.

• October 18th 2007 - Japanese Mayors

  A delegation made of officers and politicians from several Japanese Cities and led by the Mayor of Yame, Kuniyoshi Noda, the Mayor of Natori, Isoo Sasaki, the Vice Mayor of Fukushima, Kenichi Katahira, and the Vice Mayor of Koriyama, Hisao Oota, met the Vice Mayor of the City of Torino, Tom Dealessandri.

• October 16th 2007 - Embassy of Canada in Rome

  Some counsellors from the Canadian Embassy in Rome met the International Affair Department, the Tourism, Fairs and Congresses Department and the Deputy Mayor’s Office in charge of Commerce, Productive Activities and Tourism of the City of Torino in order to discuss further collaborations for the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver.

• October 11th 2007 - Slovak Ambassador

  The Mayor of Torino Sergio Chiamparino met the Ambassador of Slovakia Stanislav Vallo.

• October 08th-09th 2007 - Delegation from the Ile de France Region - France

  A delegation of city planners coming from the Ile de France Region, led by the Vice President of the Ile the France's Regional Council in charge of Employement, Professional Training and Economic Development, Daniel Brunel, and the Vice President in charge of Sustainable Development and Eco-Region, Michel Vampouille, met the Deputy Mayor of the City of Torino in charge of Culture, Fiorenzo Alfieri.

• September 28th-29th 2007 - Meeting in Torino of the International Association of the Biennial of Young Artists from Europe and the Mediterranean

  The City of Torino founding memeber of the Association created in Sarajevo in July 2001 and now member of the Board of Directors, hosted on September 28th and 29th the meeting of the Board of Directors of the network.

• September 23th-26th 2007 - Delegation from Beijing - China

  A delegation of specialist of the Public Security Department, led by the Ancient Councillor of the City of Beijing Wang Anshun, met the Deputy Mayor in charge of Human Ressources, Management and Municipal Police of the City of Torino, Giuseppe Borgogno.
  The delegation was received also by the Prefect of Torino Goffredo Sottile and by the members of the table on security during the 2006 Olympics, in order to get some information on the management of public security looking forward to the 2008 Beijing Olympics.

• September 21th 2007 - Gruyère's Brotherhood

  The Deputy Mayor in charge of Commerce, Productive Activities and Tourism of the City of Torino, Alessandro Altamura, met the Gruyère's Brotherhood of Friburg, Switzerland, led by the State Councillor of the Canton of Friburg Pascal Corminboeuf, by the Consul of Switzerland in Torino Giacomo Bucchi and the Italian Ambassador in Berna Giuseppe Deodato. In the afternoon in Place Palazzo di Città tasting of Gruyère, cantors and Swiss horn players.

• September 20th 2007 - Consul General of Perù

  The Mayor of Torino Sergio Chiamparino met the Consul General of Perù Liliana Gomez.

• September 17th-18th 2007 - Delegation from Harbin - China

  A delegation of specialist from the Environment Preservation Office of the City of Harbin met the Environment Preservation Department of the City of Torino for some exchanges and technical visits.

• September 15th-16th 2007 - 50th Anniversary twinning Torino-Chambéry

  After a first event on May 19th in Chambéry the celebrations continued on September 15th and 16th in Torino, with a program rich in initiatives. Two days of festivities and events to celebrate 50 years of exchanges and relations through the Alps. In Torino, besides 30 politicians and officers led by the new Mayor of Chambéry Bernadette Laclais for the official ceremony in the presence of the Mayor of Torino Sergio Chiamparino and Torino's authorities, 250 citizens of Chambéry also came for a visit to the city, thanks to the contribution of the European Commission.

• September 10th 2007 - Delegation from Tokyo - Japan

  A delegation of students from the Asia University of Tokyo, visiting several Italian cities in order to compare the Italian economic and labour system with the Japanese one, met the Deputy Mayor's Office in charge of Labour Policies of the City of Torino.

• September 10th 2007 - Delegation from Tokyo - Japan

  A delegation of city planners from Tokyo met the City Planning and Private Building Division and the Infrastructures and Mobility Division of the City of Torino for some technical visits.

• September 07th 2007 - Consulate general of France in Torino

  After the salutations to the ancient Consul General in Torino Odile Remik-Adim, on August 30th 2007, the Mayor of Torino Sergio Chiamparino met, for her installation, the new Consul Ginette De Matha.

• September 03rd 2007 - Indian Ambassador

  The Mayor of Torino Sergio Chiamparino met the Ambassador of India Rajiv Dogra.
