Traveller, Neucleus, Da Costa DJ

Traendo ispirazione da cinema e musica, il nostro intento era quello di convogliare il cinema in un nuovo contesto che combinasse l'atmosfera del film coi suoni della musica elettronica sperimentale. Per fare ciò, usiamo due tavoli girevoli, due lettori CD, ed un tavolo per il missaggio. Da Costa suona i CD; Neucleus, il vinile; Traveller mixa. Per creare una colonna sonora guardiamo il film dozzine di volte e ci suoniamo sopra la musica, un pezzo dopo l'altro. Il risultato è una lista coreografata composta da trenta a settanta frammenti musicali.

Being inspired by movies and music, our intention was to put certain movies into a new context by trying to combine the atmosphere of the picture with the sounds of electronic experimental music. To achieve this, we use two turntables, two CD players, and a mixing desk. Da Costa runs the CDs; Neucleus, the vinyl; Traveller is mixing. To create a soundtrack we watch the movie dozens of times and play music to it, piecing it together. The result is a choreographed list of thirty to seventy music fragments.
