Ari Tenhula

Nel suo assolo "Once Upon a Time in the West", Tenhula elabora l’immagine dettagliata di un eroico cowboy del Selvaggio West. Ricostruisce e distrugge le strutture convenzionali del cliché western di "uomo vero" e lo fa con ironia, grande pathos, estetica minimalista; colonna sonora tratta dai film di Ennio Morricone. Le scene molto integrate e quelle dello stage visivo, nonché il materiale di movimento multiplo sono marchi depositati del coreografo Ari Tenhula.
È nato nel 1964. Come ballerino si è esibito per esempio nei lavori di Anzu Furukawa, Kenneth Kvarnström e Per Jonsson. Attualmente, e per un periodo di tre anni, è il Direttore artistico della Helsinki City Theatre Dance Company ed è membro del Consiglio artistico del festival di danza Moving in November. In his solo piece "Once Upon a Time in the West", Tenhula creates a detailed image of a cowboy hero of the Wild West. He both builds up and breaks the conventional frames of the western type of "real man" through irony, great pathos, and minimalistic esthetics; with music from the film by Ennio Morricone. Very integrated and visual stage scenes and multiple movement material are trademarks of choreographer Ari Tenhula.
Born in 1964. As a dancer he has performed in the works of Anzu Furukawa, Kenneth Kvarnström and Per Jonsson, to name a few. Tenhula is currently working as the Artistic Director of the Helsinki City Theatre Dance Company for a three-year period and he is a member of the artistic board of the Moving in November dance festival.
