In questo film vediamo cosa sembra questa "nuova Olanda". "Best In Beef". è un breve documentario sulla carne. Nonostante oggi siano sempre più numerosi gli olandesi che scelgono la carne biologica o decidono di diventare vegetariani, la produzione di carne in Olanda è relativamente alta. Nel piccolo macello di questo filmato, 80 mucche all'ora vengono uccise e fatte a pezzi per il consumo umano. Il 100% dell'animale viene utilizzato per ogni genere di prodotti diversi. Durante il pranzo il manager mangia anche lui una mela al 100%.
Britta Hosman è nata nel 1967. Nel 1998 ha fatto la sua prima apparizione come regista di documentario in "The Visitor". Rob Smits è nato nel 1965. Ha iniziato a lavorare come cameraman per la televisione olandese. All'inizio del 1999 hanno diretto la serie di documentari brevi "Observation in Holland".

"Between Breaks". A construction worker is eating his lunch. During worktime this man, from the confined space of his crane, helps to fill patches of Holland with new estates. In this film we see how this "the new Holland" looks like. "Best In Beef". This is a short documentary about meat. Although more and more Dutch people nowadays are switching to biological meat or deciding to become vegetarians, in Holland the production of meat is relatively high. In the small slaughter-house in this film, 80 cows per hour are killed and completely stripped for human consumption. 100% of the animal parts are being used for all kinds of different products. During lunch the manager is eating an apple for 100 % too.
Britta Hosman was born in 1967. In 1998 she made her first appearance as a documentary director with "The Visitor". Rob Smits was born in 1965. He started to work as a cameraman for Dutch television. In the beginning of 1999 they directed a serial of short documentaries called "Observation in Holland".
