Il suo vero nome è Sasa Rakezic. I suoi fumetti riflettono in modo intimista la perdurante crisi iugoslava, che sta influendo pesantemente su chi la vive ogni giorno. Allo stesso tempo questi fumetti esplorano il mondo dei sogni e delle visioni interiori. L'utilizzo dei testi di Gordana Basta gli serve a modificare la prospettiva, per osservare la realtà da un altro punto di vista, ancorché familiare.
È nato nel 1963. Nel 1986 ha iniziato a pubblicare i suoi fumetti su diverse riviste serbe. Dall'inizio degli anni '90, gran parte del suo lavoro è stato pubblicato su riviste di vario genere. Gordana Basta collabora con Sasa Rakezic per i testi dei suoi fumetti. Sue storie sono state pubblicate in numerose riviste come "Rare Bit Fiends", "Cow" (USA), "Mano" (Italia), "Patagonija", (Serbia), "Stripburger" (Slovenia). I suoi testi sono presenti negli albi di Alexandar Zograf: "Psychonaut" (USA), "Psiconauta" (Italia) e nelle sue serie settimanali intitolate "Saluti dalla Serbia". Ha partecipato a numerose manifestazioni sul fumetto dove erano presenti i lavori di Zograf.

His real name is Sasa Rakezic. His comics reflect, in an intimate way, the continuing crisis in Yugoslavia which determines everybody's everyday life, while at the same time exploring the realm of dreams and inner visions. Using the scripts by Gordana Basta, his aim is to change perspective and to observe reality from another, although familiar, view.
Born in 1963, he started to publish his comics in various Serbian magazines in 1986. From the beginning of the 90's, most of his works have been published abroad, in different magazines. His works have been exhibited in numerous exhibitions and comic conventions in different countries, including "Expocomics", Bari; "Nuvole a Cremona", Cremona; "Lucca Comics", Lucca; "Caption", Oxford; "Comics Festival in Athens", Athens; "Angoulême 2000", Angoulême; to mention a few. Gordana Basta collaborates with Sasa Rakezic on wrigting scripts for his comics. The stories based on her scripts appeared in various magazines like "Rare Bit Fiends", "Cow" (USA), "Mano" (Italy), "Patagonija", (Serbia), "Stripburger" (Slovenia). Her scripts appeared in Alexandar Zograf solo comic books: "Psychonaut" (USA), "Psiconauta" (Italy) and in his weekly strip series titled "Regards from Serbia". She participated to many comics conventions and exhibitions where works by Zograf were presented.
