Le fotografie sono studi di interni violati da una forza aliena: il fuoco vivo. Mostro anche gli spazi bruciati dopo che il silenzio è caduto sulla distruzione, oppure li faccio vedere nella forma quotidiana, prima dell’inferno purificatore e trasformatore. Ho personalmente arredato e bruciato le stanze in vari edifici vuoti. In altre parole, le immagini sono qualcosa di più di una semplice finzione. Documentano la mia piromania artistica. "Fire" è consapevolmente progettato come un lavoro ambiguo. La mitologia del fuoco è presente nelle fotografie, ma solo sullo sfondo. Le fiamme rappresentano soprattutto un modo per studiare la psicologia della paura, la mia reazione primitiva e la reazione del mio pubblico all’esperienza di trovarsi sospesi fra il controllo e la perdita di controllo.

The photographs are studies of interiors invaded by an alien force of living fire. I also show the burned spaces after silence has fallen over their destruction, or I show them in their everyday guise, before the cleansing and transforming inferno. I personally furnished and burned down the rooms in various empty buildings. In other words, the images are more than just fiction. They document my artistic pyromania. "Fire" is consciously designed as an ambiguous work. The mythology of fire is present in the photographs, but only in the background. Flames represent above all a means of studying the psychology of fear in my own primitive reaction and the reaction of my audience to experience of being suspended between control losing control.
