Un bambino è la vita della coppia: determina la famiglia, la madre, il padre. La famiglia come un piccolo sistema molto complesso è la casa di desideri e necessità intercambiabili, di aspettative, disappunti e gratificazioni. Come madre mi sono avvicinata molto al corpo. Il dolore fisico, la malattia, la guarigione, tutte e tre le cose in una sequenza senza fine hanno contrassegnato la mia nuova identità. Una madre è legata al mondo tangibile attraverso gli abiti sporchi, il cibo che va a male nel frigo, le escrezioni del corpo. Madre è casa. Casa è dove la gente desidera fare ritorno. Ritorno alla madre, alla propria infanzia. "The Secure Private Domain of My Home" è una serie di fotografie che esplorano il contesto emotivo della creazione di una famiglia all’interno della cornice spaziale della casa.

A child is the couple’s life and is what creates the family, the mother, the father. The family as a very complex little system is the home of interchangeable desires and needs, expectations, disappointments and gratifications. When I became a mother I came much closer to the body. The physical pain, the illness, the recovery, all three in a never ending sequence, marked my new identity. A mother is tied to the tangible world, through the dirty clothes, the rotting food in the fridge and the body’s excretions. Mother is home. Home is where people long to go back to, to return to mother and go back to their own childhoods. "The Secure Private Domain of My Home" is a series of photographs exploring the emotional context of the family / creation within the spatial framework of the house.
