Non il silenzio di qualcuno che non trova le parole, e nemmeno di quello che non vuole o non ha bisogno di cercarle. È qualcuno che guarda al posto dei nostri occhi, che osa farlo per ammonirci che la realtà è cosparsa di mine, piena di schegge sotto forma di oscurità, o dolore, o pezzi di notte. Solo per portare qualche altro frammento di conclusione, per ritardarlo un po’ e abituarci ad esso." Jesús Olmo, 1994

Not the silence of someone who doesn’t find the words, not even of one who doesn’t want or need to look for them. He is someone who looks instead of our eyes, who dares to look, to warn us that reality is riddled with mines, full of shrapnel in the form of darkness, or sorrow, or pieces of night.
