"The Rise and Fall of Semper Augustus". Una passione può facilmente trasformarsi in pazzia. E quando si trasferisce l'ossessione al mercato, può diventare una vera frenesia, che si traduce in temperatura febbrile. Una febbre simile infiammò il mercato olandese dei tulipani nel XVII secolo. L'esemplare più ambito era il Semper Augustus; al culmine di questa follia, lo si vendeva per l'equivalente di una casa da città collocata nella strada più centrale di Amsterdam. Un semplice bulbo di tulipano costrinse questo "mondo" a danzare. Una danza infernale, che Adriana Kocijan e Dyane Neiman resuscitano di nuovo con chiaroveggente energia perché: un tulipano è un tulipano è un tulipano, se il denaro non fosse denaro non fosse denaro.

"The Rise and Fall of Semper Augustus". Passion can easily turn into madness. And when you bring the obsession to the marketplace, it can become a real frenzy, and cause a fever so high it can even kill. Such a fever inflamed the Dutch tulip market in the XVII century. The most cherished object was the Semper Augustus, which at the climax of this madness sold for the equivalent of an Amsterdam townhouse located in the best canal street. A simple tulip bulb caused this "world" to dance. An infernal dance, that Adriana Kocijan and Dyane Neiman resurrect again with clairvoyant energy because: a tulip is a tulip is a tulip, when money isn't money isn't money.
