è guardando il nonno fabbricare giocattoli di legno che l'artista ha appreso molto presto il gusto della manipolazione degli oggetti. Tale interesse ha prodotto un dialogo fruttuoso con il materiale. Motivato dall'ambiente emerge un vocabolario di gesti iniziatici. Da questa infanzia, che si confronta immediatamente con la natura e il gioco, nascerà la ricerca innovatrice per trarre forme dal legno. Né disegnatore, né propriamente scultore, l'artista ha utilizzato la scuola d'arte come rivelatrice di potenzialità permesse dall'arte contemporanea, piuttosto che come un ciclo di apprendimento di tecniche che egli possedeva già per la sua formazione precedente. Watching his grandfather making wooden toys, the artist learned very young the pleasure in the manipulation of objects. This interest led to a very fruitful dialog with materials. Out of tension with his environment emerged a vocabulary of initiatory gestures. Neither designer nor sculptor, properly speaking, the artist has not used art school as a learning cycle of techniques he already, possessed because of his previous training, but rather as the key to open up the potentialities of creative art.
