5:00 PM Introduction
5:15 PM Accademia dei Folli presents STOP! Suite per voce e orchestrina

with Carlo Roncaglia (voice), Enrico De Lotto (electric bass), Andrea Cauduro (strings), Paolo Demontis (harmonica), Matteo Pagliardi (drums), and Fabio Marianelli (percussion)

A suite for voice and a small orchestra, balanced between music and theatre. From Fabrizio De André to Boris Vian, from Leonard Cohen to Bob Dylan, from Bertolt Brecht to Wislawa Szymborska to Salvatore Quasimodo, words become body, sound, images. A hymn of love, a cry that is raised, vibrating, to the sky, hurling itself against violence and all war. A performance in one breath suspended between the clouds and the earth, conceived as a single score for voice and music.

5:45 PM Emerging musician Lonely Blue

Powered by Pagella non solo Rock.

Davide (bass and voice), Yuri (guitar), and Alberto (drums) are the young members of the Lonely Blue band. Their sound is inspired by the big rock groups of the 1970s, with powerful riffs and choruses with a strong Blues influence. Thanks to their immediate and deep understanding, they had the chance to play in various venues in Turin and to participate in the Pagella Non Solo Rock of Turin contest, placing second.

What they say about themselves: “Music is our greatest passion and we convey it with feeling at every gig, as you could perceive at concerts in the wonderful 1970s, and as we hope to bring back in our own time”.

6:30 PM Youth Symphony Orchestra of Ukraine

Powered by European Commission and European Parliament.

Introduction by Massimo Gaudina, Head of the Representation in Milan of the European Commission and Nadiya Antentyk, editor of “Europhonica Italia”.

The Youth Symphony Orchestra of Ukraine is an orchestra of 12-22-year-old musicians founded in 2016. Its goals are to develop young Ukrainian musical talents and promote classical music in general, proposing, at the same time, to act as ambassador of Ukrainian culture throughout the world.

“When the war broke out, we went to Bologna to interview Oxana Lyniv, the musical director of the Comunale theatre. She is Ukrainian and she spoke to us about her youth orchestra thrown into the darkest isolation, without even instruments to play anymore. We contacted them, one by one, made radio broadcasts, and told their stories. We became friends and now we have realised a dream and decided to bring them on this stage, to give everyone the biggest sign solidarity that, teenagers like us, they have the right to send with their music”.

From a proposal of Radioimmaginaria-  European radio for teenagers.
