Ancora una volta è un numero il titolo del nuovo spettacolo di Giobbe Covatta, dopo “7” (come i sette vizi capitali) e “30” (come gli articoli della carta dei diritti dell’uomo), tocca ora al numero “6”! Anche in questo caso il numero ha un forte significato simbolico: rappresenta l’aumento in gradi centigradi della temperatura del nostro pianeta. Tutto ciò che vedremo nel corso dello spettacolo è collocato nel futuro in diversi periodi storici nei quali la temperatura media della terra sarà aumentata di uno, due, tre, quattro, cinque e sei gradi.
I personaggi che vivranno i queste epoche saranno i nostri discendenti (figli, nipoti o pronipoti che siano) ed avranno ereditato da noi il nostro patrimonio economico, sociale e culturale ma anche il mondo nello stato in cui glielo avremo lasciato. Ma come sarà il mondo la cui temperatura media sarà più alta di un grado rispetto ad oggi? E quando i gradi saranno due? E riuscire ad evitare aumenti superiori che porterebbero inevitabilmente alla nostra estinzione?
Once again the title of Giobbe Covatta’s new show is a number, after “7” (like the seven deadly sins) and “30” (like the articles of the charter of human rights), now it’s the turn of the number “6” ! Also in this case the number has a strong symbolic meaning: it represents the increase in degrees Celsius of the temperature of our planet. Everything we will see in the course of the show is placed in the future in different historical periods in which the average temperature of the earth will have increased by one, two, three, four, five and six degrees.
The personalities who will live in these eras will be our descendants (children, grandchildren or great-grandchildren) and will have inherited our economic, social and cultural heritage from us but also the world in the state in which we have left it to them. But what will the world be like when the average temperature will be one degree higher than today? And when will there be two degrees? And be able to avoid higher increases that would inevitably lead to our extinction?
