5:00 PM Opening
5:05 PM Fellow piano solo + winner ToVision contest (high schools song contest)

Fellow began to perform at the age of 8 with his grandfather’s band, singing songs by Umberto Tozzi and Los Bravos. He studied musical theory and learned to play classical guitar at junior high school, before beginning his studies at a scientific-oriented senior high school. These were two years in which only his electric keyboard and singing lessons saved him.

He finished his studies and obtained his diploma at the music-oriented senior high school, where he was reborn thanks to meeting classmates with his same passion, with whom he formed a band, while also performing solo in some Turin venues.

In this period, he began to write songs and he understood that he could never do without music. When he finished school he met he began to work on an artistic project with a band. In 2020, he participated in the Castrocaro Music Festival, winning the “SIAE” critics prize. In 2021, he reached the X-Factor final.

Also on the stage, the winner of ToVision 2022 – the first song contest for high schools in the province of Turin. 28 schools, 28 singers, and just one winner. On 7 May 2022, at Teatro Grande Valdocco, more than 800 people gathered to decide who was “The Voice of Turin’s High Schools”. The event was organised by Gen Z Now APS, a youth promotion association formed by young high school students with a passion for the world of music, performance, and entertainment.

5:35 PM Canta fino a dieci

Powered by Goodness Factory.

“Canta Fino a Dieci” is a collective of singer-songwriters united in the effort to create a space for women in the music world. A simple action like counting reveals how much the presence of women at festivals and concerts is clearly inferior compared to that of men; it’s almost as though female musicians and singer-songwriters don’t exist. Changing the rules means showing that it is wrong to think of the stage as a place reserved – but for some exceptions! – for men only. Promoting representation and sharing, making access to stages free from gender distinctions are the strategies to follow if you don’t want music to lose half of its potential

Anna Castiglia, Cheriach Re, Francamente, Irene Buselli, and Rossana De Pace are the founders of Canta Fino a Dieci, which was founded in Turin but hopes to expand. During Eurovision Village, with Francesca Roca (Duopotrio) and singer-songwriter Selli.

8:00 PM Federico Sacchi, Musicteller
8:15 PM Bandakadabra feat Johnson Righeira and Bianco

Carlo Petrini, journalist and founder of Slow Food, called it an “urban fanfare”. A fitting definition for a group that finds its ideal background in the city and the scenario in which to perform and the place from which to draw inspiration in the streets. Born in Turin, Bandakadabra completed an artistic journey over the years that has led them to explore different musical styles, offering original and unpredictable arrangements. The result is an extremely varying repertoire, influenced by the swing of the Big Bands of the 1930s, the Balkan fanfare, with frequent forays into rocksteady and ska. On this occasion, Bandakadabra will be the backing band for different artists that will step on stage during the night, including Bianco and Johnson Righeira, member of the Righeira duo that was extremely popular in the 1980s with their hits Vamos a la playa and L’estate sta finendo.
