Come definire i contorni di una Fondazione Beni Comuni a Torino in cui la comunità di riferimento sia aperta, inclusiva e rappresentativa? E come sostenere una nuova Casa del Quartiere nata da uno strumento amministrativo non tradizionale come il patto di collaborazione? Queste le domande che guidano gli incontri del ULG che ha l’obiettivo di approfondire le esperienze del contesto nazionale e locale per estrapolarne modelli, strumenti e approcci utili alla definizione di processi urbani duraturi e sostenibili.

In questo senso i quattro incontri svolti in modalità mista (online e offline) si sono incentrati su molteplici prospettive teoriche e operative.

Durante il primo incontro è stato presentato il progetto Co4Cities e i singoli componenti del ULG per poi immaginare le possibili prospettive delle pratiche collaborative a Torino e al ruolo dei diversi attori coinvolti nel processo.

Il secondo ULG ha visto la divisione del ULG in tre tavoli di lavoro al fine di approfondire le caratteristiche di una Fondazione Beni Comuni e ottenere una cornice interpretativa condivisa in termini di identità, governance e sostenibilità economica e rapporto con la Città di Torino.

Per ibridare teorie, pratiche e strumenti il terzo incontro ha presentato ai partecipanti due diversi approcci alla rigenerazione urbana che hanno trasformato sperimentazioni urbane in vere e proprie infrastrutture sociali. Il primo racconto si è concentrato nell’operato di una fondazione di origine bancaria nei processi di rigenerazione urbana mentre il secondo ha raccontato l’iter di costituzione di un patto di collaborazione per la gestione di una portineria di comunità.

Il quarto incontro del ULG torinese ha portato il gruppo alla scoperta di CasaBottega, un progetto multiattore e intersettoriale che ha rifunzionalizzato i piani terra e alcuni appartamenti attraverso progetti imprenditoriali artistico-culturali a vocazione sociale. Spazi privati che hanno innescato processi di micro-rigenerazione urbana attrattivi e generativi di relazioni e progettualità. 

I prossimi incontri vedranno impegnato il gruppo nell’analisi e studio di esperienze e processi  che convoglieranno nello Springboard Plan, esito principale del progetto Co4Cities che conterrà le strategie di trasformazione del medio-lungo termine.

Urbact Local Group between active engagement and mutual learning

How to define the contours of a Commons Foundation in Turin in which the community of reference is open, inclusive and representative? And how to support the new Neighborhood house born from a non-traditional administrative tool such as the Pact of Collaboration? These are questions that guide the ULG meetings which aim to deepen the experiences of the national and local context in order to extrapolate models, tools and approaches useful for defining long-lasting and sustainable urban processes.

In this sense, the four meetings held in mixed mode (online and offline) focused on multiple theoretical and operative perspectives.

During the first meeting, the Co4Cities project and the components of the ULG were presented and then they imagined the possible perspectives of collaborative practices in Turin and the role of the different actors involved in the process.

The second ULG meeting saw the division of the ULG into three working groups in order to deepen the elements of a Commons Foundation and obtain a shared interpretative framework in terms of identity, governance and economic sustainability and relationship with the City of Turin.

To hybridize theories, practices and tools, the third meeting presented two different approaches to urban regeneration that transformed urban experiments into real social infrastructures. The first narrative focused on the work of a Foundation of banking in the urban regeneration process while the second one described the procedure of establishing a Pact of Collaboration for the management of a Community Gatehouse.

The fourth meeting of the Turin ULG moved the groups to discover CasaBottega, a multi actors and interdisciplinary project which has re-functionalize the ground floors and some apartments through cultural and artistic entrepreneurial projects with a social vocation. Private spaces that have triggered processes of urban micro-regeneration that are attractive and generative of relationships and future projects. 

The next meetings will see the group engaged in the analysis and study of experiences and processes that will enter into the Springboard Plan, the main outcome of the Co4Cities which will contain the medium-long term transformation strategies for the city of Turin.
